Mobile Photography Awards

The Mobile Photography Awards
are having an open call for submissions. If you love iPhoneography and mobile photography in general, this is your call. You can submit photographs from September 24 to November 30th with 24 categories to choose from.

There is a small fee of $20 and $30 for three or five images respectively. The money will be used for shipping, printing, framing and most important - the three-city gallery tour.

According to Daniel Berman, founder of the Mobile Photo Awards, mobile photography is no different than what some refer to as “real” photography. Mobile Photography *is* real photography. It’s also a unique art form practiced by millions, a growing global eco-system of artists and app developers, many of whom have created extraordinary images and applications and deserve more attention than can be provided by Instagram hearts or Flickr Favorites.

"It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter, because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the ordinary"
- David Bailey (b. 1938), British photographer.
